What is YouthSense – YouthSense
It is no secret that young people are becoming increasingly unresponsive to the way brands, schools, parents and Government are trying to get their attention, through our research, we have found that “74% of Young people feel brands don’t engage with them effectively.”
YouthSense is powered by the team behind Year13 who are dedicated to bridging the gap between any organisations products & services and the ever-changing youth market.
Will’s whole life has been about building things- from Lego blocks to carpentry to engineering, and things haven’t changed. Will’s the man behind the machinery. He’s the type of guy that looks at data, understands it, creates a funky info-graph and then explains it to you in a way that leaves you thinking “ahhh that makes sense!”
From a young age, Jordi has shown a profound passion for positively influencing young people who start their journey without much help. Jordi’s one of those natural analytical thinkers with an acute attention to detail, this has allowed us to think about how we can connect enterprise, government, schools to youth through data and nurture it into something much bigger.

Saxon is the founder of Year13, a boisterous and passionate visionary with a mission to help young people navigate the crazy cycles of life. Unfortunately, being 27, he does bring up the office median age to 23, but the energy he puts into the execution of his vision reminds us that this clown has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Joseph is a newer Year13 writer, but one of our finest. With a world of experience behind him (and a degree, unlike most of the Year13 team), Joseph is smashing out the funniest and most relatable articles on Year13. he’s got the sage advice young people need from travel, to university, to moving out, to finding the best pork roll in Sydney under $5.
Emma joined Year13 when fresh out of school, she hit us up on Snapchat asking for a writing gig. Fast forward a year and Emma is heading up the content team at Year13. With her unique voice and inherent understanding of youth culture, Emma has cemented her place as Content Queen and did it all without a university degree. She is the polish behind much of what you read on Year13’s site and social media channels and a valuable asset to our youth engagement team.
Olympia is like a creative swiss army knife at Year13, from image styles to shooting video and producing backing tracks, Olympia came to Year13 with a profound desire to expand our own creative suite through her unique style and delivery. There is so much there for young people to decide on, it should be done creatively and enticing.
It’s been four years since we hit the “Go-Live” button on Year13 and since then, we have consistently engaged millions of young Australians with thousands of future-proof opportunities in work, study and travel-related industries. The speed at which technology advances has been the primary motivator for both Year13’s branding innovation and content distribution. Rather than grow old and out of touch, we’re here to make sense of youth.
